Dr. Dong Jun (DJ) Kim

Dong Jun (DJ) Kim was born in Seoul and grew up in Daejeon, South Korea. In 2010, he received a BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Yonsei University. After graduation, DJ moved to KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), where he carried out Ph.D. studies in Materials Science and Engineering, under the guidance of Professor Jang Wook Choi. After finishing his Ph.D. in August 2015, DJ joined the Stoddart group at Northwestern University as a postdoctoral researcher, working on the development of new organic active materials for rechargeable batteries. In October 2018, DJ started his independent career as a lecturer in the School of Chemistry at UNSW. His research involves the design and synthesis of supramolecular compounds and their applications in energy storage materials.
